I'm Going to Adopt This Wiki
I've been thinking about adopting this wiki, since there have been a lot of trolls and vandals that have been defacing pages and writing disgusting comments that are unrelated to The Phantom Tollbooth, many of them remaining anonymous. I want to prevent that from ever happening again, while also giving more useful information on the book. I also want to make sure everyone who visits this wiki follows the rules that I set up as the site's policy. The reason I would be a good candidate for adoption is that I've loved the book ever since I was in sixth grade, and it has a lot of great motifs and a valuable lesson in education. Milo had no idea what he felt of life. Sure, it wasn't as boring as it used to be, but there was still something wrong with life in San Francisco. One afternoon, an amazing sight in his room shocked him. It was the large, oddly shaped box! And this time, it read, "For Milo, who needs a new life”. He opened it up, and it turned out to be the tollbooth. He, sadly, had traded in his car for a hot-air balloon. But, he packed up all his favorite toys, sighed, "Good-by, house. I will miss you," and slipped through the tollbooth in his balloon anyway. And guess who was sitting on the other side of the tollbooth to greet him? Tock the watchdog!
