The Valley of Sound is a very pretty, quiet valley, home of the Sound Keeper.

Description[]

It is your typical village but while the Sound Keeper kept all the sounds, it was silent, which the people hated, but Milo broke the silence with one word, "but", which was the beginning of "but it's not fair" (which he tried to say before, but felt it might be offensive to the Sound Keeper and that keeping it in his mouth was a better idea than swiping one of the sounds in the fortress).

During the silent period, people communicated by writing and body language. They sent Milo to the sound keeper to retrieve the sounds, which is when he said "but" and got the sound back. Nobody knows why the Sound Keeper decided that there were too many unpleasant sounds and locked all sounds, including the pleasant and neutral sounds, up, but the common hypotheses included the weather, the moon, and the absence of Rhyme and Reason. In the end, when Milo apologizes for destroying her fortress, she admits that it was her own fault for thinking the key to improving sound was to only have silence.

Due to the silence, Dr Discord and the Awful Dynne don't like it.

Trivia[]

  • The Valley of Sound, along with the Forest of Sight, the cities of Illusions and Reality and the Island of Conclusions, is one of the places not included in the movie due to time constraints.
